Resources for New Users
In order to start using the CMC service, you need to follow the steps outlined below:
STEP 1
Your organisation must have an Information Sharing Agreement (ISA) in place signed by your Caldicott Guardian. This is a document to cover us for the length of the relationship between your organisation (e.g. practice, acute trust) and CMC.

As an individual you need to read the Acceptable Use Policy and sign and return the Acceptable Use Policy signature sheet.
Your line manager will need to fill out and sign a User Access Form listing you as authorised to use CMC.
All completed forms should be returned to [email protected] or sent through via fax on 0207 811 8132.

STEP 2
Face to face training and e-learning is available to new and existing users to become familiar with the CMC system or provide a refresher on key aspects of the service.
E-learning training to support the CMC system is available on https://cmc.learning.intersystems.com. New users are required to register for e-learning and browse the modules most suited to them to become familiar with the system. Next, and once the appropriate information governance (IG) is in place, a login will be issued by email.
Face to face training can be requested by emailing the training team at [email protected]. We encourage tying in training to any existing educational events you may have or convening larger group sessions to ensure as many people as possible can benefit from having a CMC trainer on site.
The following downloadable training modules are for those users who may also prefer a quick reference guide or those working from systems unable to support viewing of the e-learning online. If you access the downloadable training modules (without registering for e-learning or face to face training) we ask that you email the CMC training team on [email protected] to confirm you have done this and acquired the appropriate level of guidance to use the CMC system. After this login details will be issued via email.
