Getting Started – Training
Below you’ll find information on the resources and options to support training and learning for CMC and urgent care planning more broadly.
E-learning training to support the CMC system is available on cmc.learning.intersystems.com and is the mainstay training resource for new and existing users seeking a refresher. New users are recommended to register for e-learning and browse the modules most suited to them. Some wishing to use CMC may determine that they do not require training to use CMC because of their clinical experience and general abilities to navigate intuitive systems. Waiving of training is an option in this case and can be achieved by completing and returning the Waiver of Training form in the Getting Started – Information Governance section.
For users seeking a whistle-stop tour of the main aspects of the CMC service and system, we have also created a ‘quick reference guide’ (see below) that can support you while using the system, or remind you of key functions.
As online e-learning training is so quick and easy to use, face to face training should not be necessary. A CMC representative may be able to attend meetings at your organisation where you are introducing CMC or engaging with new teams/individuals and need more of an overview of the service versus system training, which can all be delivered online or via the quick reference guide.
An approach that has worked really well is to have local ‘champions’ or ‘cascade trainers’ to drive uptake, act as a conduit between local teams and CMC and support awareness and training. Cascade Trainers go through an accreditation process and are supported by us to ensure they have the materials, information and confidence to train. If you are interested in becoming a cascade trainer or would like to know if your organisation has one to support local training please contact us on [email protected].

The following training modules are downloadable versions of the e-learning resources and for those users working from systems unable to support viewing of the e-learning. They are also more detailed guides into the different aspects of urgent care planning.
