A big thank you to our team of volunteers who have provided support to both care homes and GP practices over the last few weeks. They have made over 450 calls to assist with the creation and approval of CMC care plans initiated through the myCMC patient portal, and as a result we have seen the numbers of care plans rise.
Our volunteers also took time to help some patients to complete their myCMC questionnaire to enable them to submit these to their GP for approval. One of the volunteers said of this experience: “I was the ‘worker bee’ for Mr X as he does not have a computer and I have now submitted a care plan online to his GP on his behalf. He is hard of hearing so I also spoke with Mrs X who helped with the communication. It went really well!”
